2011 was the biggest and best yet! The Santa Cruise has raised £7,000 so far in 2011 which is
over £33,000 since we started 7 years ago!!!
The Burghfield Santa Cruise is an annual
event held in Burghfield Common and surrounding villages raising money for the Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance
This
year fifteen intrepid Santa Cruisers will hit the streets of Padworth, Silchester, Mortimer,
Burghfield Common and Burghfield Village.
As is only appropriate, the Santas will
be riding reindeer (appropriately dressed bicycles) for the majority of the route, switching to alternative means of
transport in the evening.
The Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust is a charity which receives no funding from the NHS or from the National
Lottery, but relies entirely on Sponsorship, donations and fundraising activities such as this
All costs of participation were met by the ‘Cruisers’ so they paid for drink, decorations
- reindeer food and the Santa outfits so all the proceeds from donations and collection go to Thames Valley and Chiltern Air
Ambulance Trust!!!

This year we had a brilliant time, and supported by friends, family, our sponsors and the people of
Burghfield, Mortimer and Theale, including Gift-Aid from our friends in the g/ment we have already raised
a sack-bulging £9,000!
On
the day, the rain looked threatening, but as seems to be the luck of the cruise, all clouds cleared and we were left with
a fantastic day to bring some festive cheer to the streets
In January we will raise more money towards our total on the 28th when our friends from
Unique Outdoor in Wokefield Park host a laser skirmish day in their woods for a the first luck 12 teams to buy tickets!Teams are for a maximum of 8 people, and the price is £15 adult and £10 child (they are normally £30
a session) and all proceeds will go the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance. For more details see the
